Students of the Department of Structural Mechanics had a unique opportunity to visit the company Agricon.

On June 5, 2024, students of the Department of Structural Mechanics had a unique opportunity to visit Agricon, an engineering and construction group of companies specializing in industrial construction, design, and equipment for agro-infrastructure, the processing industry, and logistics.

The educational visit was initiated by Dr. Volodymyr Yasniy as part of the BIMTech project "EU Experience in Digital Transformation through BIM: Lessons for Ukraine", supported by the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Programme.

Students of the Department of Structural Mechanics had a unique opportunity to visit the company Agricon.

During the visit, students became acquainted with the company’s operations, which successfully integrates modern engineering solutions and technologies into its project implementation processes. Leading specialists from the Agricon group of companies delivered an engaging and informative lecture focused on the specifics of design work using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies.

Mykola Kolisnyk, a graduate of the Department of Structural Mechanics who has been working successfully at Agricon for many years, shared his personal experience. He spoke about how BIM technologies help optimize the design and construction process, improve efficiency, reduce the risk of errors, and enhance communication among all project stakeholders—ultimately improving overall project quality.

In addition to the theoretical part, participants had the opportunity to observe the practical application of BIM technologies in real projects, learn about the work of different departments, and ask questions directly to the experts.

The Agricon group of companies has completed over 100 projects across Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, and Kazakhstan. These include grain elevator complexes, seed processing plants, livestock farms, and many other industrial facilities.
