From October 21 to 25, the team of the Erasmus+ Programme Jean Monnet project “EU Experience in Digital Transformation through BIM: Lessons for Ukraine”—Liliya Melnyk, Andrii Soročak, and Olha Meshcheriakova—successfully conducted training within the framework of the summer school “BIM for Reconstruction: EU Experience.”
The target audience of the sessions included bachelor’s and master’s level students of specialty 051 “Economics” from the Faculty of Economics and Management.
The school’s program covered the main aspects of construction project management, including:
Construction project as a management object — exploring key principles and approaches to project management.
Staffing in construction projects — effective recruitment, motivation, and team development.
Structuring of construction projects — task optimization and systematization.
Network modeling of construction projects — planning and coordination of work using network models.
Resource and risk management — tools for risk identification and resource optimization.
During the sessions, a brief overview was provided on “BIM for project management,” where participants became acquainted with the capabilities of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for optimizing management processes. The overview included key stages of BIM application, such as planning, monitoring, and control over resources and project execution. Participants had the opportunity to practically assess the benefits of BIM technologies for improving efficiency and accuracy in construction project management, which is a significant step toward the digital transformation of the industry in Ukraine.
