On March 20, an open online lecture was held for third-year students of the Department of Structural Mechanics at Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj.
The speaker was Oleksandr Kanivets, the founder and CEO of the innovative company ASKansulting, an official Autodesk instructor, and Autodesk BIM Evangelist. He is one of the leading experts in implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk software solutions, particularly Revit. With extensive experience starting in 2005, Oleksandr shared valuable knowledge and practical insights into modern trends in digital construction.

The lecture focused primarily on the implementation of BIM technologies in construction and architecture. The speaker explained how Building Information Modeling is transforming the architectural, engineering, and construction industries, making processes more efficient and cost-effective. Oleksandr discussed the current state of BIM in Ukraine, the activities of the Ukrainian BIM Community, the role of the professional community in developing BIM standards in Ukraine, and the collaboration of Ukrainian companies with international organizations in this field.
The lecture also covered the automation of design processes using Revit, including its functional capabilities for architects, engineers, and contractors. Technical tools, software, and examples of successful projects were discussed separately.

The speaker shared his experience working with Autodesk products, discussed key aspects of Building Information Modeling, and presented experiences collaborating with European clients. Particular attention was given to real-world case studies from ASKansulting’s experience applying BIM in projects of varying scales. The company works with international clients, including projects in the European Union, and offers a full range of services: training, consulting, and support for implementing BIM solutions. Examples of using Revit in residential, commercial, and industrial construction were provided. Oleksandr Kanivets shared insights into collaborating with international clients, the challenges of implementing BIM in large projects, and ways to overcome them.

Vladyslav Kanivets joined the presentation of practical case studies, sharing examples of projects, specifics of working on them, and highlighting the knowledge and skills required for BIM design.
The lecture sparked significant interest among students, who actively participated in discussions and asked questions. Oleksandr Kanivets provided detailed explanations about the opportunities BIM offers for future engineers and architects and shared his personal experiences.

ASKansulting supports young professionals by offering regular educational events. Students and all interested individuals can join weekly online lectures held every Thursday at 5:00 PM. Recordings of previous lectures are available at: https://bit.ly/ASKansulting-lectures.
Oleksandr Kanivets also invited participants to join an educational platform with access to proprietary lectures, courses, and libraries on Autodesk Revit. The registration form for access is available at: https://bit.ly/asxeducation.

Thanks to such events, students gain valuable knowledge from leading experts, contributing to their professional growth and adaptation to digital trends in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry.
We thank all participants for their active engagement and interest in BIM technologies.
